Animal Healing Stories

My daughter Rebecca Preston rescued a very ill puppy. The first night with her he went into a coma. She used Peppermint oil in her hands and held him (8 ounces of Teacup Chihuahua). Within minutes of using he came to. The next day we continued to hold him after rubbing a drop of an oil, sometimes Peppermint, once Di-Gize, another time Frankincense. After 5 hours of this he started acting like a puppy for the first time. He played, ran and ate. His kennel cough was gone in 48 hours from diffusing Peppermint oil and applying again by holding him. He is now a very healthy little guy who is happily growing.

Hi Nancy--

I wanted to share with you a recent experience in which the oils enabled me to help my dog recover quickly and w/o the trauma of having to take him to the emergency animal hospital......

Late one Friday afternoon I discovered that my chocolate lab, Bosco had a badly infected back paw, and his foot was swollen to twice its normal size and was oozing lots of thick pus w/ a very foul odor. Upon closer inspection, I found that he had stepped on a very sharp wood chip that had gone through his foot and up through the top of his paw. I began soaking his foot in warm water with epsom salts mixed with Thieves essential oil for 10 min 2-3 Xs a day. After soaking his paw each time, I irrigated the wound with a syringe, using alternately Thieves and Melrose. In addition to this, I gave him capsules of Inner Defense (containing Thieves, Oregano, Thyme and Citronella) alternating with capsules filled w/ Melissa (mixed w/ Hope). After his 1st capsule of the Melissa mixture, the foul odor completely disappeared. In addition to this, we noticed after a couple of days of receiving the capsules of Thieves and Melissa that his breath improved dramatically! After a couple of days of soaking his paw, the rest of the shard of wood came out and the wound quit oozing. Once this happened, I switched from Thieves to applying Melrose and Purification alternately for tissue regeneration as well as keeping the wound clean and free of bacteria, and the wound quickly closed up and is healing beautifully. I am so thankful for Young Living and these oils, for the support of our YL team (and of those in YL not on our team) and for the knowledge and empowerment that enables us to take care of ourselves and our families, even in times of crisis!

Much love and light.....

"I just want to share my experience with our dog. I use Lavender in the bath water. Before I started using it, he would try to jump out of the bath. Now he is very calm and I have seen fleas come out of the fur before I even rinse him down for shampooing. I also use the Lavender mixed in the shampoo to help protect him from fleas and soothe his scratching. I will also apply oil to his collar after his bath."
Roseanna L. Huntsville, AL

I have a puppy who is "hyper" to say the least. I had a terrible time keeping her in the tub while giving her a bath. Decided to add a couple drops of lavender to the bath water. Results: she stands there like a statue and even lets me dump rinse water directly on her head! So the next time my granddaughter is here I'll put some in her bathwater too...she too hates having her head washed!!

Lola

Nancy recalls: I received a call around June 10th from Deborah.

"A woman who was working with my dog Lola gave me your name. You do work by phone as an animal communicator, right? I need to talk with you before making a decision. My vet wants to have my answer now." A few hours later we had our first appointment via phone.

"Please don't tell me anything, Deb. I see your dog's leg..." "Yes, that's the problem." "It's very serious. If it continues she could..." "Yes, I know, she has cancer of the leg. The vet wants to operate. And arthritis there too."

After suggesting possibilities, we decided on the following protocol: Start feeding her 10 year old Rottweiler organic meats and a high end natural food - such as River Ranch products, Wysong, Solid Gold, etc. Shipped immediately was Young Living - Essentialzyme. She put Bromelain enzymes in the food until the package arrived; Frankincense, Sandalwood, Peace & Calming, Panaway, Ortho Ease, JuvaCleanse.

For the wounded paw, Willard Water. The instructions were: Peace & Calming - 1 drop and pet top of her head with it - she will love it. Frankincense, then Sandalwood. Panaway - twice a day after Sandalwood and Frankincense is applied. Ortho Ease on top of them - topically directly over the site. JuvaCleanse begin with 3 drops in gel capsule, increase 1 drop every 3 days if tolerated well.

Two days later this email arrived:

Dear Nancy,
Thank you for your encouraging email. We put Lola on a raw diet immediately and I gave her a bromelain tablet since it was the digestive enzyme I had on hand. The next morning, when I walked her, she was running and jumping! The oils arrived yesterday afternoon. I started with the Peace and Calming...one drop to the head. Within half a minute she was chasing chipmunks across the yard! This used to be a favorite game of hers that I hadn't seen in over a year. Then, I did the Panaway to the hips and leg and she immediately started to play with the 10 week old puppy we have. She has never played with him before. After about an hour, I did the Sandalwood treatment and she got very quiet and laid down on her side and began panting. This morning, she is pretty much in the same state, although she is alert. I just finished the Peace & Calming, Panaway, and now the Frankincense. She is laying down and quiet. My husband Bob and I are so very impressed with the immediate response to your healing treatment. Thank you so much. I do believe we are on the right track. Many blessings to you! We are very, very grateful.
Best Wishes, Deborah

The next day this email arrived:

I took Lola to the river swimming for the second day in a row. It's so good to see her playing and having fun again. She cooperates with the oils, and holds her leg stretched out for me so that I can get the oil on both sides on the cancerous knee. I know she appreciates the treatment.
Deborah

Deborah also mentioned her vet wanted her to pick up Frontline. I explained why she would not want to do that.

Hi Nancy,
Glad I asked! Yes, please send me the Purification oil. Lola and the puppy have loose stools today. I'm thinking it is from the switch to raw foods. The web sites said that is not unusual. I started Lola with 5 drops of the liver cleanse oil in a capsule with dinner. I'm giving her 4 bromilian tablets a day, twice the adult dose. I hesitate to up that until she gets use to the new diet. Still doing the oils two times a day. I know you said I can go up to three, but I want to give her system a chance to get caught up with all the changes. Thanks again for all your wonderful help.
Deborah

Having a positive response we added Tsuga and Myrtle. Myrtle Oil. Two weeks later - June 26th this lovely email arrived.

Hi Nancy,
I just wanted to thank you again and update you on Lola. She has finished the 2 week liver cleanse, and is doing very well. She runs and jumps and swims and plays with the puppy. She doesn't act like a 10 year old dog at all, not to mention a 10 year old with severe arthritis and cancer!
The open sore on the top of her paw had not closed a bit in the two weeks back from the vet. (He removed a growth and Lola tore out the stitches.) After one spray of willard water, it closed half way. It is now completely healed over and the swelling is down.
Lola doesn't fart anymore on the new diet. It use to be something we just took for granted that Rottweilers do. Also, for two months before I took her to the vet she would not put her weight on the cancer leg. She always stood with her paw held up. Now she is putting her full weight on it, and the whole leg which used to look shrunken, is now filling out again.
I'm up to three drops on the cancer treatment and when I get back from the beach next week, if she is still doing well I'm going to increase to three times a day.
I surrendered Lola's healing to God from the start. I don't know if the cancer will disappear. Time will tell. But regardless, you have given her her life back. We are all so very grateful.
Many blessings!
Love,
Deb Nance

Further Note: I also explained that I didn't know how long Lola's life would be extended. What I did feel was the importance of the quality of life was important, as did the Deb and her husband. About six months after they began their new work with Lola I had an urge to drive up to visit Lola. I felt her end was near. My husband and I had a beautiful day with a wonderful couple, devoted and loving to all of life. Lola laid in my lap, then took us down to the river to watch her swim and play. She died peacefully within a few weeks.

For all the Lola's of the world, for all the loved one's, their is hope. We never know how much time is left to turn things around. We do know that everyone is entitled to possibilities.

Ozzie

Ron had a stroke 11 years ago and is confined to a wheelchair. He uses a companion dog named Ozzie. Ozzie stopped going into the van for the last several months. They went from vet to vet and could not find out what was the problem. One vet suggested calling in an Animal Communicator. Friends suggested they call me. Ozzie is a beautiful Golden Retriever who appeared quite healthy and normal. Quieting down I felt some odd energy in his back legs that, to my mind spelled out the early stages of arthritis.

After explaining what and why I would use Young Living Essential Oils, I did a Raindrop of Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, and Marjoram over his spine. Then I applied Ortho Ease from hips to paws front and back. Ozzie went to sleep and while he was sleeping we talked about his diet.

I suggested:
Essentialzymes (from Young Living) - 2 tablets with each meal - ground up into the meal.
Raw meat without antibiotics and hormones. Raw meat is loaded with enzymes and in the wild that is what they would eat.
Better quality pet food - Wysong, River Ranch, Solid Gold, Wellness...there are many that do not have fillers or poisonous preservatives. If Vitamin E or Mixed Tocopherols are used AS A PRESERVATIVE , not just an ingredient, then it won't be preserved with Ethoxyquinn.*

About 45 minutes later we went out to the van with Ozzie where he was given the command to jump into the van. He immediately did as told and sat in the van staring at us wondering why we weren't coming in. We did this twice to prove that's it wasn't psychological as they had begun to think. Ozzie smiled at me as he leapt in the second time.

I suggested they continue this protocol for 3 months, then only as needed, just continue to give him better foods and extra enzymes.

*Note: From Flint River Ranch they state...In general, foods will spoil without some form of temperature control or preservatives. BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin are chemical antioxidants designed to extend the shelf life and reduce fat spoilage (rancidity) of pet foods and pet treats. Chemical additives and artificial preservatives such as BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin may cause dry skin, allergic reactions, dental disease, and poor health, as well as stimulate adverse effects on liver and kidney functions.

Specifically, BHA, short for Butylated Hydroxyanisole, and BHT, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, are both artificial preservatives added to oils to slow down deterioration. BHA and BHT (as well as ethoxyquin) are used in numerous pet food brands, including both "premium-grade" brands like Science Diet (even their prescription diet product line) and lower-grade brands like Alpo and Pedigree, to replace vitamin E, which is removed during oil processing. Studies have shown that BHA and BHT promote liver disease and other medical problems.

Ethoxyquin is a chemical preservative – and possible carcinogenic – regulated by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) as a pesticide. While ethoxyquin cannot be used in human foods, it continues to be used in many pet food brands. Ethoxyquin has been found to promote kidney carcinogenesis and significantly increase the incidence of stomach tumors and enhanced bladder carcinogesis, according to several studies, including a recent one by The Department of Pathology, Nagoya City University Medical School, Japan.

22 sick Kittens!

Dropping off some pet food at my local shelter I entered a sad scene. The Animal Control officer who loves these babies and treats them as her own said: "We've got 4 hours until open house and all 22 kittens are very ill with pus in their eyes and diarrhea.." I keep an assortment of YLEO's with me at all times for just such emergencies. I also keep unbleached coffee filters handy as emergency diffusers and for the car (place in vent and turn on blower).

About 5 drops of Thieves went on one paper diffuser and another had 5 drops of Purification. I placed one on top on the highest cage and one on top of another.

The Animal Control Officer held each kitten as a dotted all of their bellies with a total of 2 drops of Di-Gize divided by 22 kittens!

I left some Thieves Spray and suggested spraying towels, furniture, etc. One hour later I returned. Every kitten was shining with health and happily either napping, playing or eating. I now donate to local shelters Thieves, Purification and Peace & Calming with an explanation of how to use.

Amber

I drove to the Jersey shores to visit with Amber, and his beloved human friend, Rosemary. Rosemary is remarkable. She rescued Amber, a Golden Retriever after his first years of serious abuse. She's lived with him for about 6 years. Amber has a problem. When the barometric pressure drops he drops to the floor. When the weather gets noisy, particularly thunder and lightning he eats the walls down to the interior wires! He has a quick and strong startle response that keeps him upset. Rosemary has spent thousands of dollars, years of searching both alternatives and orthodox veterinary medical approaches, behavior therapists, and anything else she can find. As a final resort Rosemary put thick plastic sheeting on the destroyed walls of one room and when the storm starts Amber lives in that room alone for the duration. Amber is usually calm and loving but when the storm hits he will bite anything in his way.

I took out my bag of tricks. A CD, a bottle of Young Living's Peace & Calming and an unbleached coffee filter. Unbleached is important since these precious Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils could be used up destroying the bleach in the paper!

The CD is my compostion, "Inner Journeys For Healing". It uses SuperLearning techniques which relaxes the body/mind quickly and allows for more information to pass between the right and left hemispheres of the brain. I've used it for my own needs and for students, adults and then began using it in barns, for animals with abandonment issues and it seems to help. My instructions were to play it every day as frequently as possible until he is much improved.

Peace & Calming is a proprietary blend by Young Living of Orange, Tangerine, Ylang Ylang, Blue Tansy and Patchouli. It is superb in helping anyone achieve exactly that - Peace and Calming. I applied 10 drops on the coffee filter and placed it on a table in the room. Every third day just use another filter and 10 drops.

Twenty four hours later Rosemary called: "It's working, there's been a storm and instead of going crazy he went to where the coffee filter and the music was and laid down!!! That's a first. How do I get more of the Peace and Calming? He's so much more relaxed. I'm keeping the music on and he seems to love it. He goes to the room where it is playing. I'm keeping the filter with Peace and Calming there too but I need more."

My suggestion was to give it about three months then stop it completely and see if everything was repaired. Just keep them handy in case of serious stressors.

Harley and Petey

Sandra Willis called me in as an animal communicator. Harley, her 7 year old female cat had two main problems. One was a large growth on the side of her abdomen, apparently nonmalignant according to the vet, and the other problem was she always hid, except to see Sandra. She was terrified of everyone else and would live in hiding or hiss at others and then hide.

Jason, Sandra's husband also loves cats and wanted the joy of relating, so he brought a kitten home - Petey - whom Harley promptly whacked. The vet took care of Petey but after that, Petey started to hide. I got called in.

I brought with me 3 items - before I entered the door to their home I applied a drop of Peace & Calming and centered on being harmless and loving. They opened the door and Petey purred as he ran into my arms.

"He's been hiding ever since Harley attacked him. I haven't seen him this comfortable since then!."

"Sandra, I'm thrilled he is so responsive. It's not just me, although I'd like to think so. It's also a therapeutic grade essential oil I put on my face."

I asked them to play my CD - Inner Journeys For Healing (available at my website http://nancyorlenweber.com/books.html) while I work. The music is based on SuperLearning research. I produced the CD of creative visualizations and music after meeting the authors and agreeing to always give credit to their bringing to light the research done by Dr. Grogi Lozanov. After a few minutes of Petey playfully and happily coming out of his shell, I proceeded to pull out a travel diffuser (from Young Living) and fill it with Peace & Calming. For animals, traveling and for those looking to save money, it is the perfect answer.

"Take me to see Harley."

"She's in the bedroom, but you won't be able to see her. She stays under the bed."

"I'll risk it."

We sat on the floor at the foot of the bed. I placed the diffuser by my side. The music was playing. About 1 minute went by and then Harley came out.

"She'll be out for 30 seconds."

"Sandra, just keep talking to me and ignore the situation please."

Five minutes went by.

"I can't believe she is still in the room watching us."

"Just keep talking."

Ten minutes went by and Harley strolled up to me, purred, went a few more feet to her scratching post and proceeded to show me how she stretched, purred played all the while looking at me. Sandra ordered Peace & Calming every month. Five months later Petey is chasing Harley, Harley is friendly and Harley's nonmalignant tumor is gone!!!

Here are some tips from a fellow aromatherapist/animal healer Sandy Rakovitz:

In wintertime she washes the paws off after being outside, especially when places are salted. It is an irritant to their paws.

Sandy also suggested for those who want to understand and relate to dogs better, read author Turid Rugaas' book on dogs body language.

Sandy uses essential oils by placing a drop in her hand and wiping on the paws and then petting the coat for full effect. Animals require far less than we do, so start with just a drop.

~Putting a little lemon on the pads of your dog's or cat's paws will greatly soften their nails to make them easier to trim. ~Sandy started 7 years ago alternating Lavender and Melrose (one day lavender, one day melrose etc...) between her dog's and cat's shoulder blades (the same way they recommend on the boxes of those horrible flea and tick medicines) a few days before flea and tick season started and then every few weeks. Over the years she discovered that the blend Purification worked better and she applies it every 3 weeks or so. Where she lives the animals would come back from outside with hundreds of ticks every day before she began using the oils.

Note: I've used the same and so has Dr. Gerald Buchoff DVM, past president of the American Holistic Veterinary Association and found that the animals and people were still having problems. My husband came up with the following blend to spray on the coats before going outside and it works beautifully. You will need: YL Purification - 10 drops YL Lavender - 5 drops YL Peppermint - 5 drops Cobalt Blue Glass 4 ounce spray bottle (available at several online stores, try abundanthealth4u.com) Distilled water Mix the water and the oils into the bottle and spray on the animals coat. We also spray ourselves and carry a 2 ounce bottle with off. My husband's label on the bottles reads "Buzz Off"!

~Using oils such as Valor, White Angelica, Peace and Calming and Lavender on the tips of your pet's ears for both emotional and physical shock, helps them get through the shock. ~Supplements Sandy gives her animals are MultiGreen (especially for her 17 year old dog) and Detoxzyme. She also uses Di-Gize on the belly or on the pads of the paws for worming. For older pets' incontinence, she uses cypress (this also works wonderful for humans!!!) on their lower bellies and on the insides of their thighs. ~For animals with cancer... even in later stages just to help them live a better life she has used Di-Tone for nausea and upset system. Frankincense, Idaho Balsam Fir, Wintergreen, Peppermint & Lavender done kind of like a Raindrop session or just a simple vita-flex motion along their spine. ~For Lymphoma she has used Frakincense, Lavender, and Di-Tone. ~For hip displasia; Valor, Sulfurzyme and BLM (nutritional supplements by Young Living) have given her wonderful results.

Caring and conscious people love treating all of life with respect and kindness. Years ago when I discovered the food I was feeding my beloved four legged friends was literally killing them, I switched to brands that could only be found in a few places that sold cat and dog food that had no meat by products but were fresh and filled with top grade food. I also began cooking for them and adding flax seed oil, raw veggies for those who would eat them, COQ10 and Vitamin C in small doses. Better coats and stronger immune systems seem to occur. Some pet owners, like Mike who owns Mike's Feed Farm, sell these products because they use them for those animals they love and have seen the results.

Because Young Living is so unique in it's approach and so easy for anyone to learn to use, we have happily joined the bandwagon and use the purchases as a fundraiser. We do not normally believe in advertorials, however when we find that something is so beneficial for both humans and animals, we believe it is important to share this with you.

With much love and wishes for the healthiest

Horses and YLEO's

1. Valor, 10 drops wiped on ears, chest and shoulders. A favorite blends for balancing energy, relaxing the back and spine and for grounding. 2. Peace & Calming, 10 drops wiped on ears, poll, chest & shoulders. a blend that was developed to calm hyper active kids. 3. RutaVala, 10 drops also wiped on ears, poll, shoulders and chest. This blend is unparalleled for calming the central nervous system. A friend reports: My horses were exceptionally quiet and easy to work with to do their dental work this year. In the past I have not had the RutaVala blend as this is new. While Valor and Peace & Calming have worked well in the past, RutaVala completely took any edge off and helped them to stand ever so quietly and patiently for Dr. Rucker. I was thrilled! These tips also work well for dogs and cat vet visits and any situation where a calming influence is needed. The amounts of essential oils will decrease with smaller sized animals.

I volunteer at an animal shelter and they used Melrose in oil base for ringworm there. Some cleared up in days, some in weeks. One tougher case over a month. That is compared to over 1 year with what they were doing before, which was why I suggested the oils. I couldn't stand to see them isolated from kitten hood to adult. Of course, I would only use my YL oils. One shelter worker seemed to think they even liked the smell and affected their mood. T. B.

If you are interested in any of these products or in learning how to use your own you can go to www.hai.younglivingworld.com or email me for a medical intuitive appointment. Happily, being psychic I don't need to meet the person or animal needing help.

The Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils are the only ones my family, friends and clients have obtained results with such as found in these true healing stories.
