"Dead Man Walking"

In March of 2008 I was a very sick man. I literally was a "Dead Man Walking." I had congestive heart failure and my left ventricle was scarred. I was very weak and my heart was only performing at 11%. It was starting to shut down and was cutting oxygen to my brain. Anxiety attacks and a fear of death were everyday occurrences' for me. I couldn't sleep for fear of not waking up and I wouldn't leave my home for fear I'd pass out. I was in terrible shape due to some very bad decisions I had made as far as eating and taking care of myself. Even though I was using Young Living products, it was only enough to keep me alive. I wasn't really taking my deteriorating health as seriously as I should have.

My health had gotten so bad that it got to the point that I couldn't even throw the ball with my sons, or go to the bathroom without one of these attacks coming on. I felt very bad and hopeless and I was falling into a depression that exacerbated m y condition. One day it all came to a head. I felt pretty good and decided to venture out with one of my daughters to a computer store. Well, what I had always thought would happen did. I had passed out and ended up in the hospital where they > had to insert a pacemaker to help my heart keep beating the proper beat. It was at that time that I finally came to the realization of how sick I actually was.

It was nothing but Gods Grace and Favor and my wife's GREAT FAITH that brought my situation to the Young Living leadership staff. They in turn worked very quickly in getting Dr. Gary Young's attention about my condition.

To make a long story short, inside of a week, Dr. Young arranged for me to go to the Nova Vita Clinic in Ecuador. With my medical records in hand (a Blessing in itself) and Angels to guide and protect us, our provision was made. We knew the Lord was behind us in this decision as our flight tickets would have been close to $5000 but we were blessed and we got round trip flights for under $500 for both Karen and myself.

When we touched down in Ecuador I felt relieved, because I knew I was going to get the best care in the world. Arriving at the clinic I was greeted by a loving and caring staff, they were very attentive and treated me very well. They are so compassionate and we truly became like family. I was examined by Dr. Young; he looked over my records and ran some tests. It was discovered that I had more problems than we thought. I was 307lbs and on many medications. My testosterone level was at 4.7, I had prostrate problems and my blood pressure was out of control. I was developing lung cancer (I'm a retired Firefighter, probable cause). I had no normal red blood cells and acid leaching in the blood. I couldn't walk on a treadmill for 5 minutes without getting out of breath and feeling like I was going to pass out.

Dr. Young immediately put me on a daily regimen of Young Living Nutritional Products and Therapeutic Grade A Essential Oils. He got me started on a "Way of Life Eating Plan" with live juicing, cleansing, weight loss tea and detoxifying. I went through some Spiritual and Emotional therapy to help let go of some past hurt so I could start living my life to the fullest. I also started a gradual exercise and weight training program that led to 1-2 hours a day. I got plenty of rest, no stress and in ten weeks time I had lost 87lbs and walked on the treadmill 4.5miles a day! The energy, vitality and stamina that I have now is just incredible!

My testosterone level is now at 687 and I feel like a 21 year old man (some say I look it too)! My metabolism is working 100% and I've gone from a 48" waist and 3x shirt to a 34" waist and a medium shirt. The cancer is gone and there is no acid leaching into my blood, it's clean, flowing and full of oxygen. I can now breathe and my blood pressure is back to normal. I'm stronger and I feel GREAT!! I have such a positive outlook on life.

I continue to do the things I learned at the clinic. I'm enjoying my life, my wife, children and grandchildren. I'm also pursuing my dreams as I'm back to working on cars. I just painted my Corvette getting it ready for a car show. I owe my Father in Heaven, Dr. Gary & Mary Young, the Nova Vita Clinic team and all the Young Living Leadership Staff my deepest gratitude. They all gave me my health/life back ˆ 100%. And for that I couldn't be more grateful.

I would be remiss not to give recognition to my wife, Karen. She was my ROCK I could stand on, and an arm I could lean on. Even during the times when I wouldn't listen to her, she continued to LOVE ME through it, pray for me, anoint me with the Young Living Essential Oils and encourage me to know that God was going to see me whole again. She handled the business and saw after our children and grandchildren. She did all the things that come along with being a wife, mother, grandmother and a business woman. Saying "Thank You" doesn't seem appropriate for all she has done for me. I thank God for her every day. How could He bless me with this woman? She humbles me.

Also to our Young Living family who took the time to call, come by, give support or just pray for me "Thank You." But most of all I thank my Heavenly Father for making everything possible!
