Periodontal Disease

In 2005 I was told by my dentist that I had #5 pockets in my gums commonly considered to need surgical intervention. I turned to the Essential Oil Desk Reference by Essential Science Publishing and read about Thieves toothpaste and Thieves Mouthwash. I quickly ordered the Thieves Dentarome Ultra with Xylitol and the Thieves Mouthwash. I also quickly refused surgery giving myself 6 months to one year to see if I could turn it around. I was thrilled to see no caution sign on either of these products, both safe enough to be swallowed.

Knowing, since the early 1970's the dangers of fluoride in water, toothpaste and anything else (see link to great article) I was happy to see the statement on the toothpaste:
Contains no fluoride, sodium lauryl sulfate, sugar, synthetic chemicals or colors. I had been using products I bought in the health food stores that were natural since 1975 but obviously I still had gum problems.

Six months later I went for a checkup and heard as the exam took place tooth #... (don't ask me the numbers of teeth), #1 pocket, and that continued throughout the exam. The dentist didn't care how I obtained that, guess he was disappointed he lost an opportunity for gum surgery. Obviously I've sought help with a more ethical dentist since then.

This wonderful outcome has been repeated by dozens of friends who I passed the information onto.

Since 1972 I have been using natural or organic toothpastes and mouthwash. I still have had serious gum problems and kept warding off gum surgery refusing to believe that I couldn't reverse the issues. Every year I had cavities and wondered why when I didn't eat sweets or junk food and my main diet was whole foods, yet nothing I did prevented the caries or the gum problems. My gums continually bled. I used Vitamin C, Grapefruit Seed extracts, etc. Then I used several products specifically in the natural market for improving gums, still no change.

In 2004 I bought my first Thieves Ultra Toothpaste and Thieves Mouthwash, by 2005 my dentist was amazed to see I no longer had gum disease and the first year since my childhood of no cavities! I haven't had a cavity since, no bleeding gums, and I'm in love with the possibilities it has shown me.

From a Young Living Oiler

I have periodontal disease so the dentist cleans and checks my teeth every 3 months at 160 a pop. Well, I started using Thieves toothpaste and mouth wash after your oil seminar which was one month before my next cleaning. My check up prior to using Thieves toothpaste brought numbers like 2,3, 4, and 5 when they checked my gums. Hard to explain if you don’t know what I am talking about but if you get a 6, you have periodontal disease and the dentist has to scrape your teeth down to where the bone is under your gum to get rid of the bacteria that can eat away the bone and then you lose your teeth. (I was never good at flossing)

ok, so one month later, my numbers had improved and the 5’s were 4’s or 3’s and the 4’s were 3’s or 2’s. That was just after one month so of course, I use both of the Thieves daily and will religiously and can’t wait for my next cleaning in October. Talk about the cost of a dentist if he has to do anything to your mouth compared to the cost of the Thieves. It is soooooo worth it and you said at that meeting that using both meant that you didn’t have to floss of which I haven’t since using the Thieves.
